VVG Thinking was founded in 2012 and officially opened in Huashan red brick six-section compound area in November.
VVG has re-endowed the century-old camphor factory with a new look. The establishment, themed Back to The Factory, was furnished with metal, gears, machinery and implements from the industrial age. Inspired by Da Vinci's aircraft, it designed ""Wings of Thinking"" to bear the weight of a huge wall bookshelves, symbolizing that ideas and creativity can help people fly.
The red-brick building’s first floor consists of an indoor garden, a dining room and a “fun together” exhibition hall. The second floor is an extension of the VVG Something bookstore, featuring books on design, art, photography, recipes, floriculture, and tourism, as well as various household utensils and fashion clothes. It also has an exhibition space “fun alone” specially designed for individuals to carry on a private conversation between viewers and exhibits.
Besides the architectural space and culinary delights, VVG Thinking aims to inspire people into independent thinking by organizing exhibitions, speeches, various activities and workshops.
